Ruan is from Australia and Sri Lanka, and studies Journalism at Seattle University. He has some work experience in both journalism and marketing. He has worked as an investigative reporter for Sri Lanka’s most widely circulated independent, weekly newspaper. There he focused on investigative articles on human rights abuses and military operations. While working, he saw first-hand the ethnic conflict that has plagued his country of origin. His passion is to discover his contribution in possibly solving some of these problems, “The Caux Scholars Program will expose me to the intricacies and conflicts between cultures around the globe.” His passion has led him also to an interest in studies of forensic psychology. He expects to get some understanding of the many issues surrounding conflict from CSP.
