Regina Rueckel

I'm Regina, 24 years. I'm from Germany, grew up there, went to school, everything not so exciting. One thing perhaps I've always done horseback riding and worked in hippotherapy with disabled children...
After school (2009), I went to Brazil to do a volunteer year in a community project in a favela in Sao Paulo where I tried to teach the alphabet to children and did some community work...
In 2010, I started my bachelor in psychology in Germany which I finished last february. In 2012 I did an internship during 3 months in a family hospital where a lot of different types of therapy methods were applied and I learned a lot about about psychology but above all about my self.
During my student time I went regularly to a refugee camp where I made a lot of friends and got to know more about the whole issue of immigration and stuff. Thats how my idea came up to work as a therapist for refugees in my future and that's why I'm here in Egypt since february with a 8 week break after april. I study arabic and help in a feminist ngo with some research and workshops...
In October when I'll be back to Germany I'll start my master in clinical psychology and psychotherapy to hopefully be able start working in two years! :)
